Mass Extinctions

If you have been to The Field Museum you might know the Sue exhibit. In that exhibit, you see all of the mass extinctions that have happened over the course of millions of years. The sixth one they show is right now.

So many animals have died because of us and it's really sad. Before the human big-boom, the average was one species that went extinct every 4 years. Now 200 to 2,000 animals go extinct each year. Experts estimate that is either 0.1% of species or 0.01% of species.
